Call to Action for April 29 - May 3

S1046 Judicial Reform

**Call-to-Action **
The Judicial Reform bill has passed the Senate and will be heard in the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, April 30th. Although the bill is not perfect, it will procure some much needed reforms and help us move closer to where we need to be as a state on this issue. In order to ensure this bill leaves committee in time to be passed this session, we need to do the following:

  • Contact these three members of the Judiciary Committee tomorrow 4/29/24, remind them that South Carolinians have wanted judicial reform for years, and urge them to vote this bill out of committee so it can be passed this legislative session.

    • Wes Newton (Chairman): WestonNewton@schouse.gov, (803) 734-3120

    • Jay Jordan (Vice Chairman): JayJordan@schouse.gov, (803) 734-3114

    • Jason Elliott (Greenville Rep): Jasonelliott@schouse.gov, (803) 212-6877

This will most likely be our last Call-to-Action this legislative session, as most of the remaining bills will be amended on the floor as they come up. Please keep our legislators in your prayers, especially the SC Freedom Caucus members who fight for our Rights in the face of strong opposition.

Thank you for all you’ve done this legislative session to help #AdvanceLibertyTogether!
